This book flips the script on who the villain actually is. I didn't love the writing all the time, but maybe that had more to do with the annoying characters than anything else. (They were mostly contestants for an online dating show who were hyper-focused on growing their influencer status, so not exactly very likable...)
I also appreciated the author's choice to make the POV from the people who got killed off. We really get inside the head of a particular character and then BAM, she's torn in two. Goodbye narrator.
Themes of finding community and "true" beauty over the superficial. Though I think both these could have been fleshed out more.
