Another book I somehow missed, growing up. Thanks to our book club tackling classics this year, I finally got to read this one. So... yo ho ho!
Pegleg pirates with noisy parrots, skullduggery, mutiny, an adventurous sailing trip topped off by a surprisingly violent treasure hunt, and young Jim Hawkins experiencing it all.
Classic adventure tale, I'd say. I think I'd probably have liked it better as an isolated rural kid 50+ years ago.
